I’m getting a new iPod that plays videos. Is it possible to transfer some of my favorite DVD’s to the iPod? Or do they have to be directly downloaded from iTunes?

Sure.. you can download or you can convert.. With Itunes you can convert the file into mp4. and load to Ipod (60 GB?)

yes if you have a laptop or computer wich you do put the dvd in the computer and then plug your i pod in and import it to the i pod
You would need to decrypt the movie and than convert the files into something the Ipod accepts. I use videora to convert the files and DVD decrypt to decrypt them
You’ll probably have to “rip” the dvd, then transfer the files to your iPod. Try using Dvd Shrink.
